A new application enables iPhone owners to view a live stream of today’s presidential inauguration on their handsets.
Ustream, a free application available through the iPhone App Store, allows users to select live streams from various news outlets such as CNN.
With a few minutes to spare before the inauguration, I gave Ustream a test run on my iPhone. On a Wi-Fi connection the app works great; you can even watch the streams in landscape mode. However, the playback shuts down when viewing streams on the EDGE or 3G network.
