Nintendo is promising a big surprise coming up and from the random hints they’ve given it sounds exciting. This weeks release is Evasive Space (Yukes Company of America. the game is based around using the Wii Remote’s pointing capabilities to move around tight spaces and avoid enemies. It not only sounds interesting, but like a pretty different take on what one can do with the Wii’s controls. Life Force is actually a spin-off of the classic Gradius shooter series. This one takes place in an alien’s body and features both horizontal and vertical levels. If you still don’t have a good shooter on your Wii this one might be a good choice.
It’s a top down space shooter published by Akinai Games and is available for 1000 points. The VC is getting the NES classic shooter, Life Force. The NES port and spin-off of the Gradius series is available now for 500 points. But, that’s not all. Nintendo has also released a teaser for something special coming to the VC very soon.
Evasive launch a one-of-a-kind mission to rescue the stars. The universe is going dark, and it’s up to you, Konki the Stellar Guardian, to set things right. Dr. Dark Matter and his roving band of space thieves have stolen many of the Constellation Stones that make up the heavens. It’s time to suit up, power up, recover the Stones and once again bring light to the night sky. Navigate through narrow, mazelike astral caves riddled with space worms, steam pipes and mining drills. Explore vast space stations while avoiding turret fire, mines and huge crushing gears. Weave through cluttered asteroid fields and gaseous planetary rings. Evade the Hazards, pick up precious items and ship upgrades, and save the Constellation Stones before the night sky is lost forever.
